Preparation of some rare erath modified silicates (M-YSO)
Phisico-chemical aspects regarding the formation of YSO phosphors
Increasing the national and international visibility-*patent registration.
Results and discussion:
* Effect of silicon source:
Samples with variable amount of gadolinium were prepared by combustion with general formula Y2-xGdxSiO5:0.75Ce,1.75Tb
>> The emission color of YSO:Ce phosphors depend on the excitation radiation:
-under 356 nm the phosphors exhibit a bright blue-white color
-under 254 nm the phosphors exhibit a white-yelow green color.
>> The bands at 400 and 418 nm are from electron transitions from 5d level to the ground state levels (2F5/2, 2F7/2) in Ce3+.
>> The bands at 486 nm, 498 nm, 544 nm and 548 nm are from electron transitions from 5DJ level to the ground state levels 7Fj in Tb3+.
