Objective 1 Preparation of rare earth doped yttrium silicate phosphors (YSO) by wet chemical method.
Activities:
Synthesis of Y2SiO5:Ce by Simultaneous addition of reagents in different conditions
Precursor characterisation by FT-IR, TGA-DTA, SEM/EDX, ICP-OES.
Luminescent characteristics (emission , excitation) of Cerium doped YSO phosphors

Objective2 Preparation of RE-doped yttrium silicates nano-phosphors (NP-YSO) by combustion method.
Activities:
Preliminary experiments for cerium doped NP-YSO
General characterisation of NP-YSO by FT-IR, SEM/TEM, ICP-OES, BET
Characterisation by luminescence spectroscopy of NP_YSO
Structural characteirsation on NP-YSO by XRD

Objective 3 Creating the material base
Activities:
